Meredith Johns

Meredith JohnsMeredith Johns’ research has focused on medieval Christian mysticism, twentieth-century queer American histories, the novels and stories of Kurt Vonnegut Jr., and interfaith encounters during the COVID-19 pandemic. During her time at Harvard, Meredith concentrated in the Comparative Study of Religion with a secondary in English and she worked at the Harvard College Writing Center, Barker Arts Café, and as a Radcliffe Research Partner. She volunteered as an overnight peer counselor and as a leader in the First-Year Outdoor Program and enjoyed choreographing and producing with the Harvard-Radcliffe Modern Dance Company and DJ-ing Record Hospital hours at WHRB 95.3 FM. Meredith presented her research at the Undergraduate Religious Studies Association’s annual conference in 2023. Meredith was born in Sterling Heights, Michigan and raised in Kennesaw, Georgia. She likes camping, reading fiction, and going on walks with loved ones. Meredith is pursuing an MPhil in Theology, Religion, and Philosophy of Religion as the Governor William Shirley Scholar at Pembroke College.
