Jack Swanson

Jack Swanson was born and raised in Morganton, North Carolina, a small town in the Appalachian Mountains. At Harvard, Jack concentrated in Government with a secondary in English, and lived in Currier House. He served on the Harvard Undergraduate Council for four years, and was a member of the Mock Trial Association, Primus, and Dorm Crew. Jack completed the Marine Corps Officer Candidates School while at Harvard, and plans on returning to the military after his time at Cambridge. Jack has worked for the ACLU, the North Carolina Department of Justice, and served as a DNC Delegate for the North Carolina Democratic Party, where he designed a youth voting curriculum. At Cambridge, Jack will pursue an MPhil in Political and Economic Sociology as the Lionel de Jersey Harvard Scholar at Emmanuel College.
