Gregory Kristof Is a Philosophy concentrator currently living In Kirkland House. He was born In Hong Kong and  
speaks both Mandarin and Spanish. Elected to Phi Beta Kappa as a junior, he won the Thomas Wood Award In  
Journalism (undergraduate literary non-fiction), the Detur Prize (academic excellence), and the Lucy Allen Paton  
Prize (most promising junior in the Humanities or Arts), and he has twice been a John Harvard Scholar. Three  
years ago he walked on to the Harvard Varsity Wrestling team and he continues to compete In the 157-pound  
weight class. In his essay he wrote, "I do not know which Is stranger-that wrestling has made me a better  
philosopher or that philosophy has made me a better wrestler''. A member of the Harvard Asian American  
Brotherhood, he has spent his college summers in Beijing, developing and directing social media strategy for the  
non-profit One Foundation, and New York City, where he authored dozens of articles for the Education Vertical  
of the Hufflngton Post. He will be attending Emmanuel College as the Harvard Scholar, pursuing an MPhil in Philosophy.
