Austin Wang, born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo, Canada, concentrated in Chemical and Physical Biology with a secondary in Computer Science. At Harvard, he conducted research on the genetics of pancreatic cancer and on endosome escape in dendritic cells, supported by the HCRP, PRISE, and Herchel Smith fellowships. A proud Lowellian, he was co-president of the Lowell House Bellringers, worked at the Lowell Pines Makerspace, and chaired the Programming Committee. Austin’s other roles around Harvard included serving as a director at the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter, working as a curatorial assistant at the MCZ, and teaching sections and labs in the CCB department as well as a STAHR telescope class. When he is not reading a book or making things, he enjoys baseball, board games, and impromptu travel. Austin will pursue an MPhil in Biochemistry as the Governor William Shirley Scholar at Pembroke College.
