Mariel Pettee

Mariel Pettee was a Physics and Mathematics joint concentrator with a secondary concentration in the Dramatic Arts. She lived in Quincy House. She has worked on research projects at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and the ATLAS Experiment at CERN in Geneva; she was a course assistant in classes on Linear Algebra and Vector Space Methods for Differential Equations; and she received a Harvard University Certificate of Distinction in Teaching. Her interest in dramatic arts found expression in her involvement in Harvard-Radcliffe Summer Theater, the Freshman Arts Program, and in a variety of performance and non-performance roles she played in more than 35 productions of the Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club. As an Arts @ CERN intern, she facilitated interdisciplinary collaborations among world-class artists and CERN physicists. She was the president of the Signet Society. She served as the Fiske Scholar at Trinity College, and pursued an MPhil in the MASt (Part III) in Physics.
